Regenerative Architecture-
Here is another excellent example of "regenerative architecture" or a
"regenerative building."
Regenerative buildings simply put are designed and engineered to improve their surrounding environment. Take the fast-food chain Wendys for example. In 2018 Wendy's restaurants released their new "Smart 55" concept.
While a traditional standalone, Wendy's requires an acre of land. Building with this new design decreases land usage down to as little as a quarter of an acre, which reduces the environmental impact.
Also, through the use of low-energy heating and air conditioning units, LED lighting, and energy-saving kitchen equipment, each new restaurant leaves a smaller carbon footprint. The Smart 55 program may have a higher upfront cost, but in the long term, there is a cost savings of $300,000 over a traditional unit.
